Astalia Player is a media player for smart TVs, published by AstaliaHub. It contains no channels or content of its own: it plays the service you subscribe to and sign in to yourself. This policy explains, in general terms, what information the app handles.
Information you enter
The service details you add to a profile, such as the server address and login, are stored on your TV. They are used to connect to your service and are not uploaded by the app.
Viewing activity and sync
To keep your favourites, progress and watch history available across your devices, the app saves them to a cloud service. This information is linked to an identifier derived from your profile details, which does not include your name, email address or password. You can turn sync off at any time in Settings › Account.
Usage and diagnostics
The app may send usage and diagnostic information, such as the app version, device type and error reports. This helps us find and fix problems. You can turn this off in Settings › Account.
Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services to provide features such as titles and artwork, trailers, images and cloud storage. When the app uses them, those services receive the information needed to answer the request, and their own privacy policies apply. Video content comes from the service you subscribe to, under that provider's own terms.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not show advertising in the app.
- We do not ask for your name or email address to use the app.
Your choices
You can turn off sync and usage reporting in Settings, and clear your watch progress from within the app. To ask for synced information to be deleted, contact us at the address below.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
